Today should have been longer - the plan was to loop back and pick up the Great Glen Way on the East of Loch Oich. However, that part of the GGW was closed to we took the shorter route on the West, and out day was only 8.5 miles, which felt a bit light-weight early in the trip.

The weather was colder and wetter and in fact set in to heavy rain - but after we had reached Fort Augustus and were safely under cover.
We had a coffee in a bar, lunch in a restaurant, and two more coffees in a coffee shop while waiting for check in at our guest house - it was too cold and wet for much exploring, though we did go down to the end of Loch Ness.

Very nice guest house with a log burner in the communal area.
Tomorrow in only about 11 miles, but is mainly climbing up into the hills on the old military road to the south-west of Loch Ness, on what a friend calls 'a killer climb' - though he was cycling!
So 1023.2 miles done and about 180 to go.
