Neither Simon nor I had ever stayed in a Pod before. Both the position and quality of these was superb.

It was a slow start and a (deliberately) short day. Undulating rather than steep hills and continued glorious weather.

It was strange to part company with the A9 after 8 days.

We arrived at Lybster and had a pub lunch.

We went to our B and B and were welcomed in by our hosts ( a couple with two young children) nearly 2 hours before check in. One of the very best places I have stayed. Wild rabbits and domestic chickens rubbing shoulders on the lawn.

Shower snooze and then started to do admin to prepare for maximising sponsorship at the end of the trip.

We had supper at the b and b and then I spoke to daughter Hannah about sponsor plans for her charity.

My laptop had decided it was a tablet and would not respond to the keyboard, so I could not do my blog. (O

ur host knew how to sort this - something to do with Bluetooth, so iwas able to catch up next day in Wick)

Stats  today 8.72 miles, this trip 208.09, since Land's End 1188.72.
