The Inversnaid Hotel was excellent, though dominated by two large coach parties - though the hotel lets you know that that is likely., so no complaints.
I left at 9.00 and as expected the start of the walk was strenuous, though with very good weather and the ground mostly dry, it was a lot less hazardous than my approach to Inversnaid last Easter.

The second half of the walk was not so taxing and I got to Inverarnan in time for a quick lunch before catching not quite the expected bus. A complication with delays and the machine not accepting my E-ticket meant I ended up paying twice, and will have to try and claim some money back when I get home.
A great bus journey though. I was at at the front and could see - and the route was through Glencoe. It was raining by then, though my walking had been completely dry. A comic touch was the man next to me, who constantly sighed and muttered every time there was a slight delay.
I arrived at my excellent guest house around 5.00 - two curios: (a) there is a corridor between my bedroom and bathroom, leading to the fire exit (b) the walls are a bit thin and I could hear that the girl talking on her phone next door was French ... I hope she is not noisy after 10, and that she is not woken when I put the radio on about 6am!
Tomorrow I set of up the Great Glen, meeting cousin Hugh on the way. Hugh will be the person who has walked the most days with me over the whole project.
I now have my unbroken line re-established - 990.64 miles since Land's End, which of course means the 1,000 marker sometime tomorrow!
Good luck - hope the weather continues to hold for you, and that nothing else goes wrong. Enjoy...
